People will rarely admit that they’re a geek, especially if you’re a female nerd, but the stigma may not seem so bad after learning that ‘geekette’ girls often score more dates than women who don’t consider themselves geeky. In a recent survey of 1,391 single men and women by Prezzybox.com, it found that 23% of self-confessed geekettes went on about 14 dates a year, whereas the non-geeks averaged just nine. And it’s not just that they got more dates; 61% of the guys interviewed said they preferred geekier girls because they were more likely to be interested in the same things, like gaming, technology and gadgets. Clearly geek chic and brushing up on the latest gaming console craze is the way for us single ladies to go.
